Cutseat

Terms of service

Last updated 2026-10-12

These terms govern your use of Cutseat, online appointment booking software for barbershops, operated by Cutseat of Ethiopia. By signing up you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a barbershop, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

What Cutseat does

Cutseat gives your shop a public booking page, keeps your barbers’ schedules, and sends your clients appointment confirmations and reminders over WhatsApp. We provide the software. We are not party to the appointment between you and your client, we do not provide barbering services, and we do not take payment from your clients on your behalf.

Your account

Trial, price and payment

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time and there is no minimum term. Cancelling stops any further charges and your shop keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months, except where the law requires it or where we have clearly failed to provide the service.

You can ask us for an export of your shop’s bookings and client list at any time, including after you cancel. Give us at least 90 days after cancelling, since data is deleted after that.

Messaging your clients

Cutseat sends appointment messages on WhatsApp, which Meta permits only to clients who have opted in. Accordingly:

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Data protection

For your clients’ personal data you are the controller and we act as your processor, handling it only to provide the service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect your clients’ details and for the accuracy of what you enter. Our privacy policy sets out what we hold, which providers we use, and how long we keep it, and forms part of these terms.

Availability

We aim to keep Cutseat available at all times, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not offer a service level guarantee at this stage. We may take the service down for maintenance, and will try to do so outside normal shop hours and to warn you first where we can.

Appointment messages depend on Twilio, Meta and the mobile networks. We cannot guarantee that every message arrives or arrives on time, so please do not rely on reminders alone for appointments that matter greatly.

Our responsibility to you

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, Cutseat is provided as it is, without other warranties.

We are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, lost revenue or indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You remain responsible for your shop: for honouring the appointments you accept, for the prices and durations you publish, and for how you treat your clients.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if payment fails and is not resolved, or if your use puts the service or other shops at risk. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. You may close your account at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use Cutseatafter a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia. Nothing here removes any right you have under the mandatory law of the country where your shop operates.
